Learn, play, and celebrate across every corner of Sesame Street
For many children, Sesame Street has always been about spending time with familiar friends, solving everyday problems and discovering something new together. We wanted to capture that feeling in a game, where every story is built around helping your neighbours and exploring the world at your own pace.
Working with Sesame Workshop gave us the opportunity to bring the Street to life in a way that feels authentic to the show. Players create their own resident before meeting Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Grover, Oscar, The Count and Tango, with story-driven minigames introducing each character and their part of the neighbourhood.
The adventure starts in the Neighborhood because that's where players begin to feel at home. Every location has its own personality, whether you're helping Abby in her magical garden, visiting Cookie Monster's food truck or customising your resident at the Laundromat before heading off on your next adventure.
We wanted the story to unfold through everyday activities rather than traditional quests. Early on, players help Abby enchant apple trees for a neighbourhood celebration, cook alongside Cookie Monster and search the Street for lemon tree seeds. They're simple activities, but together they encourage players to explore and spend time with the characters.
As the story grows, so does the world. The Park opens up a much larger space to explore, with activities like counting chickens with The Count, picking strawberries and recycling, alongside iconic locations including the playground, library and The Count's mansion. Every activity is part of the wider story, rather than something that sits alongside it.
The Fun Fair brings a different energy to the adventure. It's a colourful space filled with attractions and minigames, from blasting off with Elmo in a rocket ride to helping Big Bird spot birds around the fairgrounds. We wanted it to feel like a celebration that players gradually work towards throughout the game.
Everything in the game is designed to encourage players to spend time with the residents of Sesame Street. Whether they're helping prepare for a neighbourhood celebration, exploring the Park or discovering something new at the Fun Fair, the story always comes back to friendship, curiosity and learning through shared experiences.
