SHARDS is taking part in Steam Next Fest. While the festival runs, you can play the free demo right from this page. Bring a partner and try to get the indescribable across to each other.

What's in the demo
- The first 3 sectors
- Free Play (Lv1–2)
- Descent (Roguelite) — up to the first boss
Sectors are online co-op, so have voice chat ready. Free Play can also be played solo, and Descent is a solo mode (one person takes both roles). The full game adds all 20 sectors and every difficulty, plus what lies beyond in Descent — deeper floors and card upgrades.
What is SHARDS?
You and your partner are looking at different screens. One is the Operator, working the board; the other is the Guide, who knows only the rules. You can't see each other's screen — your voices are the only link. And the symbols you must convey have no names. At the center, a caged core is pulsing, and every mistake pushes it closer to collapse.
