Shark Tales: Reef Rogues is out now — solo and co-op

Shark Tales: Reef Rogues is out now on Steam.

Fight through underwater enemy waves, collect pearls, and spend the breaks building your loadout. Match weapons with their catalysts and work toward evolutions. Play alone, share a screen with up to three friends, or invite a crew through Steam online co-op.

Actual full-game gameplay: a four-player fight in the Hydrothermal Caldera. The demo includes Reef and Galleon.

Choose your dive

The full game has 20 waves, four regions, 16 characters and Steam Workshop. The free demo stays available with 10 waves, two zones and four starting characters. Workshop is full-game only.

New solo and local crews start with Sink or Swim : try a temporary weapon mutation, ride a current and dodge the Loan Shark before your first shop. It switches itself off after your first attempt; use the main-menu toggle to replay it. Once you've finished shopping, join the other ready players in Bubble Chase while your crew makes its last purchases.

Playing with friends or on Deck

Local co-op shares one screen. Steam online co-op uses one player per computer; everyone needs the same edition and update. Demo and full-game lobbies are separate. Online play works in our multi-PC tests, and we're still improving client smoothness.

Shark Tales runs great on Steam Deck in our own hands-on playtests. That is our experience, not a Valve Steam Deck Verified rating.

This began as a physician and dad's off-night project for his kids. Thank you to everyone who tried the demo and told us where they got stuck. Your reports helped us change the opening mission and early shop controls.
