Final Demo Update + New Trailer — Ready for Steam Next Fest!
The Final Demo Update Is Here — Ready for Steam Next Fest!
We’ve just released a major update to the Speed Rivals: Model Trains Demo, bringing it much closer to the final experience we want players to discover during Steam Next Fest this October!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working through your feedback, polishing the core mechanics, improving the overall experience, and adding more of the systems that will define the full game.
This is by far the most complete version of the demo we’ve released so far, and it’s the build we’ll be taking into Steam Next Fest.
A much more complete demo
If you played one of our previous builds or joined the playtest, now is a great time to jump back in.
The new version includes a more polished introduction to the game, improvements across the editor and gameplay, and a much better representation of what Speed Rivals: Model Trains is becoming.
Build your own model railway layouts, drive your trains, manage cargo and deliveries, and experiment with the different tools and mechanics at your own pace.
And, of course, there’s still plenty more coming.
We also have a brand-new trailer!
Alongside the demo update, we’ve created a new gameplay trailer showing much more of the game in action.
It gives you a better look at the layout-building tools, trains, environments, missions and the cozy little world we’re building around them.
If you’ve been following the project for a while, you’ll probably notice quite a few things that have changed!
Next stop: Steam Next Fest
This October will be a very important month for us.
We’ll be participating in Steam Next Fest, where thousands of players will be able to discover and try Speed Rivals: Model Trains for the first time.
So if you play the new demo, we’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback during these final weeks is incredibly useful as we continue polishing the game.
And if you enjoy it, adding the game to your Wishlist is one of the best ways to support us before Next Fest and launch.
Thank you to everyone who has tested the game, sent feedback, shared videos, or simply followed the project so far.
See you on the tracks!
