Patch 0.1.2: Your Own Station, Dreadnoughts for Sale and Fewer Crashes
Thank you for every report since launch.
New
- Run your own station. At a station you own you can take goods out of its stock or store cargo into it for free, give every good an order (Use in Production, Keep for Me, For Sale, or Buy Up To an amount), set every refinery, factory and shipyard line to Run Only This, Never Run or Automatic, and switch the station crew on or off. A Broker trades with a friendly market in the same sector once a day, within a wallet reserve you set. Your residents' taxes are paid to you as Station Income, your fleet's "Sell" share and Cargo Drone hauls are stored there for free, and repairs there cost nothing.
- Dreadnoughts are for sale. Every faction capital and Fortress always keeps one in its showroom, and builds the next one when it sells.
- Shipyards on the maps. Station cards and the galaxy map show what a yard sells, for example "Shipyard: up to Dreadnought · 3 for sale".
- Jobs and story tasks show where to get the goods. For example "Buy 40 Protein Rations at Trade Hub (Tarsis Reach)", or the factory that makes them when no market has them. Navigation leads you there.
- Deliver in trips. Deliveries bigger than your hold can be handed in part by part. Timed jobs still fail if the clock runs out.
- Two new ASTRA lessons: Live Fire and Mining.
- Show Other Factions' Ore setting, plus the L key to switch it in flight.
- Bounty cards show the crew and a recommended ship size.
- The target panel tells you when your shots can't land, and why.
- Undock priority. The higher your standing with a station's faction, the sooner you launch. At 100, or at your own station, you are next.
- UI Scale "Auto" sizes the interface to your screen, including 1440p and 4K.
- Blocked files explained. If Windows Smart App Control or an antivirus blocks a game file, the game now explains it at start-up instead of crashing.
Changed
- New campaigns start every ship on MK I gear with only a Point Defense and a Mining Laser aboard, so a big starting ship no longer makes you the strongest in the galaxy on day one.
- Easy starts with 5,000 credits.
- Small ships can fit gear two marks above their class.
- Starbases sell 3 ships. Contract reward ships are rarer and smaller.
- Bounty difficulty climbs more smoothly, and escorts leave a drone pilot to their leader when bigger fleet ships are present.
- Six Banners: win the leaders in any order. The story always points to the closest one and tells you your next step.
- T locks hostile ships first.
- Big ships pick up loot along their whole hull.
- The starter drone is lighter.
- Crafting tab: blueprint rows show every ingredient with its icon, and ships show their picture.
- Your own station's stash is rent-free, and its refinery starts with smaller amounts of ore.
Fixed
- Shipyards could never build Destroyers or anything bigger, and those blueprints couldn't be crafted. 10 weapons and modules had the same problem. All fixed.
- Rare crashes during long play sessions.
- Crashes when changing display mode or resolution on some graphics cards.
- Clicking tutorial buttons fired your weapon.
- Your station's docked-ships list showed every ship docked anywhere in the sector.
- Your buildings' cargo went to the faction's station instead of yours.
- Conquered sectors destroyed your escort ships.
- Small-hold pilots couldn't finish some delivery jobs.
- The interface was half size on 4K screens.
- Ctrl+V didn't paste into the save name box.
