Patch 0.1.3: Supply Runs, Station Upgrades and Loot Collectors

Astraeon Interactive

Thank you for every report since launch.

New

  • Run Supply fleet order (Convoy Detail skill): set a route between two stations with the goods to carry, or let Auto-balance move spare goods between your own stations.
  • Home Station for Mine and Scavenge: the ship works that station's sector and unloads into it.
  • Loot Collectors: every faction station sweeps up abandoned loot. At your own station, assign one of your ships (with a Magnetic Collector) from Station Info.
  • Station Upgrade: upgrade your own station to the next tier in place. Station Info > Upgrade, deliver the materials with U, and a builder does the work while your station keeps running.
  • Sector rent: building in a faction's sector costs monthly rent (750 Cr for an Outpost up to 7,000 Cr for a Nexus). The faction asks before you build.
  • Upload your own pilot portrait in the New Game wizard. It stays on your PC only.
  • Sell blueprints at faction stations for credits. Blueprints you already know are marked "Known".
  • Discord status: your Discord profile shows "Playing Starlathe" and what you're doing (can be turned off in Settings > General).
  • Galaxy map: hover a system to see your ships there and where they're docked.
  • Weapon descriptions say whether a weapon can hit drones.
  • New settings: NPC Trade Popups (Gameplay) and Station Trades volume (Audio).
  • Every faction shipyard keeps a small ship for sale, and small stations receive small ships first. Outposts can sell ships too.
  • Shops stock core gear first (shields, chargers, Magnetic Collector, Drone Bay, Repair System, scanner, Warp Drive), and each station has its own specialties.
  • Station cards show what is really for sale, plus the Dreadnought and small-ship slot status.
  • Your ship's name and class are shown above its picture.
  • If the game ever fails to start, the next start reports it and opens in safe mode. A stuck copy of the game is closed automatically.

Changed

  • Crafting: click = 1, Shift = 5, Ctrl = all on Craft, Take and Store.
  • Mining lasers reach further at higher marks (+5% per mark).
  • Wreck salvage gives far fewer blueprints and Epic/Legendary rewards.
  • Fleet ships on Mine line up properly, collect their ore and never sit idle without saying why. Scavenge and Neutralize ships collect their drops too.
  • Enemy carrier drones stay close to their carrier.
  • The Master volume slider now means what it says (your game sounds exactly as loud as before).
  • Panels no longer stutter the first time you open them.

Fixed

  • Equipping a stack of modules put the whole stack into one slot with one effect. Saves are repaired automatically.
  • Ship weight didn't update after Install on Station.
  • Weapons fired from different hardpoints than the ship preview showed.
  • Some big ships carried weapons that could never fire.
  • A sold Cargo Drone could stay in your fleet.
  • The Deep Space Scanner now shows the whole sector on the minimap.
  • Crafting showed 0 for ingredients you had.
  • Clicks sometimes responded a second or two late.
  • Two systems could share the same name. Old saves get them renamed.
  • Mission targets could be drones that normal guns can't hurt.
  • Rare crashes in long sessions.
