Patch 0.1.4: Auto Course, Galaxy Size and a Galaxy Full of Goods

Astraeon Interactive

Thanks for all the feedback and Support, if your request or bug find isn't included here don't worry i saved them on my notes they will be definitely included in the next updates!

New

  • Auto Course: right-click any system on the galaxy map > Auto Course Here. Your ship flies itself there gate by gate, going around enemy space when that costs at most 2 extra jumps. On the sector map, click your ship and right-click a spot to fly there, or right-click a station to fly there and dock. Any flight key takes the controls back. You can still aim and fire the whole way.
  • Set Waypoint: a marker and course line you fly to yourself.
  • Fleet orders from the maps: select fleet ships on the sector map (click, Shift+click, Shift+drag a box) and right-click a spot. They fly there in formation and hold that position. You can also send them to another system from the galaxy map.
  • Galaxy Size: Small (about 100 systems), Normal (160), Large (250) or Huge (400) on the New Game screen. Bigger galaxies need a stronger PC.
  • Starting Location: keep Default, or start in a low-level system of the Federation, Free Traders, Mining Guild, Independents or Syndicate.
  • Vanguard Striker: now a starting ship from day one, next to the Combat Drone.
  • Enhance: spend Enhance Points on your ships, weapons, modules or your whole station. Each level gives +5% to all stats, up to level 10.
  • Dismantle your own station: 50% of its materials back, plus everything stored there, in a protected cache only you and your fleet can collect.
  • Station Assignments: give your station its own Miners, Guards, Traders and Transporters.
  • Station production control: production targets, never-run recipes, Disable All / Enable All, and a Stockpile page with production and sell reserves.
  • The Portmaster (Station Info > Administration) will tell you where to buy any item, for a small fee.
  • Supply routes can use your Stash. Crafting can use your station's stock.
  • Ship Preview in the Fleet tab: see any fleet ship's full inventory.
  • Crafting search bar and filter.
  • Hold N to compare gear with what you have equipped.
  • Store All Cargo button at stations.
  • Flight Assist toggle (V): turn it off for true drift.

Changed

  • Double resources everywhere. Every station-building part (Colossus Frame included) and every ship is now sold somewhere from the start. Stations sell what they hold beyond their own needs.
  • Traders now buy goods that pile up at platforms with no station and sell them where they are needed. Haulers help nearby factories, and lost haulers get rebuilt.
  • Your automated ships avoid enemy systems.
  • Fleet scavengers spread out over the debris fields.
  • Enemies chase and fight instead of spinning in place. Crews surround their target, and big warships close in at full thrust.
  • Miners hold their aim instead of sweeping their beam. Your fleet mines about twice as fast.
  • Homing rockets launch even when the target is outside the launcher's firing arc.
  • Starting ships carry enough power for sustained fire. Vanguard Striker: 22 module slots, Combat Drone: 11.
  • Station modules carried in a hold count as cargo, and ships cannot equip them.
  • Debris above your level gives Common items only.
  • Your fleet undocks with you, and breaks off fights to follow you through a gate.

Fixed

  • Fleet ships not following you through jump gates.
  • Big ships unable to fire anything but rockets.
  • Ships like the Resolute losing their acceleration after finishing contracts.
  • The game failing to start on some Windows 10 PCs ("Your Windows doesn't fully support CET").
  • Ship delivery contracts taking your ship without paying.
  • Construction supply ships and builders getting lost on long trips home.
  • The Syndicate "Quiet Cargo" contract becoming impossible to finish.
