Patch 0.1.9: Trade Routes, Station Officers, New Weapon Sounds
Thanks for all the feedback and support! if your request, suggestion, bug report isn't listed they are carried over to the next update!
NEW
- Manual Trade Routes: give a fleet ship a list of stops (buy, sell, pick up, unload, wait until full) and let it loop.
- Haul the Sector: a fleet order that sweeps a sector for your own loot and spills and brings it home.
- Trade Log for every trader: what it is doing right now, its last trades with real profit, and profit per hour.
- "Avoid This Sector": right-click any sector on the maps and none of your automated ships will fly there.
- Station Officers: give officers a post at your own stations (Administrator, Foreman, Quartermaster, Security Chief) for better prices, faster refining, more storage or stronger guns.
- Passenger seats on Corvettes and bigger ships to carry extra officers (1 seat on a Corvette up to 8 on a Dreadnought).
- Finance breakdown: click Fleet Trade, Station Income and other lines to see what each ship and station earned, plus a new Station Upkeep line.
- Building Deliveries: your buildings' cargo shuttles fly their goods to the station you choose, through gates if needed, with a list of every trip.
- Ships & Gear in the Codex: every ship and part you have found, where it is sold or built (nearest first), with one-click Auto Course.
- The galaxy map search now finds sellers: type "dreadnought", a ship name or an item name.
- "Where to Buy..." / "Find Sellers..." on every ship and item right-click menu.
- Right-click "Equip (swap with ...)", an EQUIP BEST button, and an optional "Auto-equip better gear" setting.
- Drone faction designs: pick your drones' look from the factions whose Drone Bays you have owned.
- Per-ship and per-drone Sell / Store for mining, scavenging, hauling and cargo drones.
- Mining drones can keep mining when your hold is full and leave the ore for your collectors.
- Ships armed only with welding or repair beams now act as support ships: they stay behind the line and repair allies.
- Drones now fly out of and back into their ship's bay with an animation, and follow you into the station when you dock.
- Ship Presets: choose MK and rarity separately for each part.
- Mission board and Journal show how many jumps away each mission is.
- Game speed keys (+ / -), and Caps Lock turns Auto Course boosting on or off.
- Text boxes support arrow keys, Home/End, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V.
- A "Stations" volume slider.
- New achievement: Friend to Every Flag.
- The promised new sounds for the Flak Cannon, Railgun, Plasma Mortar, Ion Disruptor and Missile Silo, plus new boost, hangar, drone and station sounds.
- If Windows Smart App Control or an antivirus blocks the game from starting, a window now explains exactly why and how to fix it.
CHANGED
- Mission rewards now follow the real job: distance, danger, enemy strength and cargo value. Item rewards are sized by value, and big kills pay big ships.
- Warp: much shorter range (about 150 at MK I to 1,100 at MK X), about 3x the Power Cells, a cooldown after each jump, and no warping right after combat hits.
- Vigil raiders now hunt living colonies, attack stations, traders and miners, and move on to the next colony when a sector is empty.
- Traders stay in charted space and avoid sectors with hostile warships; Trade for Profit has a "max jumps from home" limit.
- Supply ships carry full loads, and a good can be produced and traded at the same time.
- Auto Course boosts by itself on long straight legs, one full burn at a time.
- Auto-List For Sale now starts off, with one switch in Settings and a quick "all my stations" option.
- Station population grows again when its needs are met, and the Population tab shows what is usable, what is held back and why.
- The Magnetic Collector's pickup range grows with its MK and rarity.
- Your own fleet can never be damaged by your shots in any mode.
- Hand-building (F) stops when you leave the sector.
- Every station popup plays a new, cleaner chime.
FIXED
- Fixed: stutter and freezes that came with 0.1.8, especially in big galaxies and when hovering ships in the Dockyard.
- Fixed: the game could crash when changing the Frame Rate Limit or Anti-Aliasing on Windows 11.
- Fixed: achievements, earned starting ships, origins and Codex progress didn't carry over to another PC through Steam Cloud. They now travel with your saves, and achievements Steam already shows as earned come back on your next launch.
- Fixed: renaming a station or setting up a fleet group could lock the keyboard.
- Fixed: taking a weapon off and on again inflated its stats. Inflated weapons in existing saves are repaired on load.
- Fixed: "Drone Bay cargo spilled" messages appeared for ships that weren't yours.
- Fixed: goods produced by your buildings vanished instead of reaching your station.
- Fixed: other factions' haulers took goods from your station for free.
- Fixed: mining drones got stuck on stations.
- Fixed: changing one carrier drone's type changed two.
- Fixed: the Rock Grinder couldn't be given mining orders.
- Fixed: some turret ships had no Unequip option on their hardpoints.
- Fixed: high-level salvage stopped dropping lower-level blueprints.
- Fixed: extractors and other buildings under construction showed no build beam.
- Fixed: the dots in the mission log were drawn in the wrong place.
- Fixed: filter chips and mission rows could run past the edge of their panels.
- Fixed: Mining Drones had no blueprint.
