Update 0.3.0: Fleet Loadouts, Crew Presets and Map Objectives

Astraeon Interactive

Thanks for all the feedback and support! if your request, suggestion, bug report isn't listed they are carried over to the next update!

NEW

  • Fleet > Loadouts: every fleet ship's fitted gear in one list, with a preset badge (matches / differs / no preset) and an "Upgrade" badge when a better piece waits in your hold or storage. Tick several ships (or Select All) and set them to Follow a Preset, or Stop Following, in one go.
  • Show on Map: right-click a fleet ship (or use the button in its details) to open the map on it.
  • Galaxy map objectives: every accepted contract now has a ring on the galaxy map, and a new Objectives panel lists them all with reward, target, jumps and time left. Click a row to centre the map, or Track it from there.
  • Fleet > Scouting: a list of every sector your scouts have charted, with what was found there (stations, fields, wrecks, hostiles). Filter, sort, and open the map on any of them.
  • Crew presets: save your ship's crew seating and apply it later. A confirm list shows every officer move before anything happens. Manage them under Fleet > Crew Presets.
  • Fleet drone controls: fleet ships with Drone Bays show their drones in the Fleet tab, and slot types can be changed there without docking. Fleet Settings > Carrier Drones: one default drone type for your fleet carriers, with optional picks for Miner, Guard and Transporter hulls.
  • Equip Best > Buy from Market: a new switch beside Equip Best. When on, Equip Best also looks at the docked station's shelf and offers a ticked shopping list with prices before buying and fitting.
  • Station rules: right-click an item on your station's Production or Stockpile page to Copy Settings, Paste Settings or Paste to All in This Group. Apply to Other Stations: send a rule to any of your other stations from a checkbox list.
  • Dismiss from Fleet: release a fleet ship from anywhere. It keeps its cargo and flies off to a nearby friendly station; its officers come back to you.
  • Unload into Hold: take the haul out of a cargo or mining drone's bay at any time. Drone cargo is no longer lost when a Drone Bay is removed.
  • Production uses locked items: a checkbox on each of your stations' Production page (off by default). When off, production won't use stacks you locked.

CHANGED

  • Ship handling gear (drives, gyros, strafe jets, brakes, stabilizers) now gains +10% per MK step on top of the one below, so a higher MK always clearly beats a lower one. MK I ships handle exactly as before; top speeds are unchanged.
  • Locked items stay locked inside your own station's storage in single-player.
  • Move Items: the row of ship buttons folds to one line, so the item list stays in view with many ships docked.
  • Your stations now ask friendly markets for the station reactors, rechargers and other station parts their build still lacks, so they can be bought again.
  • Fleet ships near a construction site now count when you press E to deliver, and fleet ships docked with you can hand in contract cargo directly.
  • The radar no longer zooms out to the whole sector with long-range scanners, so nearby stations stay visible.
  • Bug-report screenshots now show your HUD as you saw it.

FIXED

  • Lag spikes in big galaxies from faction traders planning deliveries and from construction supply runs.
  • Drones were capped at 30 even on ships that support more.
  • Opening the inventory called drones back to be rebuilt, and some rebuild timers never moved.
  • Docked, drones showed MK I stats instead of their real ones.
  • Crew vanished after switching to a drone and back.
  • Commanders switched to a mining or trading fleet didn't put their existing ships to work.
  • A fleet ordered to attack could fly away to another sector instead.
  • A stripped fleet ship with no drive could get stuck forever.
  • Some ships flew to a gate that wasn't there and got stuck in the sector corner, including construction ships pushing into each other.
  • Haulers could die at the sector edge waiting to dock at stations built near the border.
  • Traders from other factions could wait forever at a station door.
  • Autopilot switched boost on and off constantly instead of holding it.
  • Pause didn't work while typing in a search box; Shift + arrow keys now select text.
  • Locking part of a stack, or stacking gear, could lose the lock.
  • Building scaffolds didn't show their construction animation.
  • Dreadnought and Leviathan factory Drone Bays stayed at MK I.
  • Crew assigned to one station were offered as captains at another.
  • Station officers whose station was gone kept drawing salary; they now come back to you.
