Hoppers
Death from above! Frontline field reports paint the picture of a horrifying new Arachnid form besieging our Troopers from the skies.
The Hopper is a large flying Arachnid; lightning fast, deadly, and capable of carrying off a fully-equipped Trooper. Fear not! Stick close to your allies, and rely on your comrades to deter any kidnapping attempts with deadly return fire. You know what to do; keep both eyes on the sky. And when you see them, kill em’ all!
- You will always be able to encounter Hoppers in Advance & Secure, Horde and ARC Missions.
- Hoppers may also be encountered with specific Mission Mutators
Camp Rasczak
Brand new training camps have been established deep within the Arachnid Quarantine Zone to expedite immediate Trooper deployment to the frontlines.
New Training Mission
The previous Federation training cycle was churning out future Heroes of the Federation that have been woefully unprepared for the rigours of real combat. To better prepare our Troopers, we have brought live bugs and unleashed them upon our trainees in the most realistic training simulation to date! Recruits will need to familiarize themselves with standard base-building techniques, defend a base and fend off waves of vicious bugs in a cutting-edge re-creation of real life combat. Be aware, recruits who perish during unforeseen training accidents will not be indemnified.
- New Players will be prompted to complete the new Horde Defence Training the first time they play the game.
- Returning players will not be prompted, but may choose to launch Camp Rasczak from the “Solo Missions” in the Main Menu.
Shooting Range
To further support arsenal familiarity, a Shooting Range has also been created within the confines of Camp Rasczak.
After a recruit has completed the training simulation, they can sharpen their gunfighting skills at the Shooting Range. There, Troopers will have the ability to try out weapons they have not yet requisitioned through their careers. Equip yourself to your heart’s content, and fire at the bugs from a safe distance. Or, jump into the pit and fight the bugs at ground-level.
- The Shooting Range is accessible after completing the Horde Defence Training.
- You can return to the Shooting Range by launching Camp Rasczak from the “Solo Missions” in the Main Menu.

Tuning
Vanguard and Federation Armoury Tuning
TW-2 Sp.L.I.T Shotgun
Without issuing a new service shotgun, Vanguard Troopers have been searching for new methods of bringing more close-quarters firepower to the field. By carefully shaving a few millimetres off the inner barrel and some creative jury-rigging, Troopers can convert their Sp.L.I.T Shotgun with an improved 10-Gauge Bore, allowing them to fire much larger shells for far more boom with their bangs.
- Added new Mastery levels, can now reach Mastery level 12
- Moved Armoury Unlock to level 12, was level 10
- Added 10-Gauge Bore modification at level 11
New Modification – 10-Gauge Bore
Re-bores the barrel to fire larger 10-gauge shotgun shells, increasing overall shot payload.
- +30% Pellet Count
- +100% Recoil
- -15% Fire Rate
- -1 Total Magazines
TW-2-FA Sp.L.I.T Shotgun (Auto)
Replacing solid slugs with explosive Frag Shells converts the already devastating TW-2-FA into a rapid fire grenade launcher. The torrent of fragmenting death cuts swathes through tightly-packed hordes of squishy bugs. While it loses some effectiveness against thicker carapace, a few bursts into the nerve stem can still take out even the most armoured bugs with ease.
- Added new Mastery levels, can now reach Mastery level 12
- Moved Armoury Unlock to level 12, was level 10
- Added Frag Shells ammo modification at level 11
New Modification – Frag Shells
Use Fragmentation Shells. Shotgun shells packed with a fragmenting shrapnel payload.
- -60% Direct Damage
- +50% Explosive Damage
- Armour Piercing Rating becomes 1
- Weakpoint Multiplier becomes 3.0x
