Major Update — Smarter Bots, a Full Soundtrack & Multiplayer Polish
Deeper Fights, a Full Soundtrack & Big Multiplayer Polish
Since our last major update, Stickplosion has had its biggest run of improvements yet — smarter opponents, a reworked card draft, an all-original soundtrack, and a long list of multiplayer and combat fixes. Here's what's new.
Smarter Bots — now a 1–10 dial
- Bot difficulty is a 1–10 slider (was Easy/Medium/Hard/Ultra). Levels 1–5 play like the old tiers; a "Show extreme difficulties" toggle unlocks 6–10.
- Bots move like people — they commit to moves and ease into direction changes instead of jittering.
- Superhuman AI (6–10) dodges incoming shots, solves the true projectile arc so lobbed shots land, and drafts upgrade cards intelligently. 9–10 even move faster than you.
Card Draft Overhaul
- Full stat preview on every card — current → new (HP, Speed, Damage, Magazine, Reload + advanced stats) with green/red deltas against your live build.
- Card rarity shown per card, colored by tier.
- Configurable drafts — picks per win, picks per loss, and how many cards you start the match with.
- Stats Legend and Character / Weapon / Ability stat grouping so every number is clear.
An All-Original Soundtrack
- Brand-new music across menu, lobby, arena and victory — 10 full-length arena tracks that shuffle and cross-fade, with a "now playing" label.
- Fixed the long-standing bug where music never actually played in shipped builds — it's all there now.
Scoreboard & Clarity
- Scoreboard — hold Tab in a match or open it from the pause menu.
- Clearer card numbers everywhere (percentages as %, flat bonuses as values) and honest weapon-swap previews.
Multiplayer & Combat Polish
- Rounds start promptly and stay in sync — fixed the round-transition desync ("invisible bullets that killed me") and dropped "ready" signals.
- Reload bar is now visible to everyone, not just the reloading player.
- Bouncing bullets fixed — no more tunneling through thin walls or double-bouncing on the same spot.
- Top-tier bots react to every player's fire in multiplayer, not just the host's.
- Force Reload on demand (default R, rebindable).
Crash & Bug Reporting
- One-click crash reports — if the game closes unexpectedly, the next launch offers to send a diagnostic log (no personal info), and reports retry if you were offline.
- In-game bug reporting is clearer, attributed to your Steam name, and never hangs.
We ship fixes every 1–2 days — thank you for playing and reporting. See you in the arena!
