Stream Train Launch FAQ
Hi Everyone!
We are just a couple of days away from the Stream Train launch and we thought it would be a good idea to post a central FAQ to keep everyone informed. If you have a question that isn't covered here, post it as a comment or send it to us on Discord and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What time will Stream Train release on Oct 16th?
We are lucky to be part of The MIX Fall Showcase which starts at 9:00 PST ( 18:00 CEST ) on October 16th . The game will launch on Steam a little bit before then, just so we know everything is running smoothly before the showcase starts. Wishlist Stream Train to make sure you get notified the moment it drops.
How much will Stream Train cost?
We are still finalising the last details on price and launch discount, but I can say that the game will be priced in line with other games in the genre like Peak , RV There Yet? , How to Fish , etc.
I am a content creator, how do I get in touch about keys?
We will not be providing early access to Stream Train for content creators, but we will have a KeyMailer campaign that will go live on October 16th so that excited content creators can get keys for the game. Please sign up with KeyMailer and we will see what we can do. Keymailer Link: https://www.keymailer.co/g/games/5fb53df1
What is the max number of players per game?
Lobbies accommodate up to 6 players.
Will there be public matchmaking with randoms, or is it friends only?
Stream Train was created, playtested, and balanced as a friends only experience, there will be no random matchmaking at launch.
How long is a typical run?
Stream Train is a run-based game with procedural level generation. If every player dies in the Uncanny Valley, the run is over and players must start again from the lobby. Points of Interest and resources will be randomised for the next attempt. We expect the average successful run to take around 60-75 minutes .
Will there be controller support at launch?
No, we haven't focused on controller support, but we aim to add it after launch.
What are your plans for post-launch support?
We have lots of plans for post-launch support, initially we will focus on quality of life improvements and additional content (items, monsters, customisation options, and points of interest). Later on we will turn our attention to larger features. We are excited to see how players engage with Stream Train and double down on the elements that they enjoy the most.
What languages are supported at launch?
At launch, we will support English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Stream Train has the most text out of any game we have ever made, so we blew through our localisation budget real fast. We will be aiming to add more languages ASAP.
How can I stay up to date with the latest news?
We will keep the Steam page updated using announcements like this, so if you only want the most important news, I suggest wishlisting and following the game here. In future we will probabaly have smaller drips of info and behind the scenes stuff get posted on our Discord first, so if you want everything hot off the presses, join us there.
