Steam Next Fest Oct 19–26 — Try the Demo, See What's Real
Synapse Grid is part of Steam Next Fest, October 19–26, 2026.
WHAT YOU CAN TRY: The free demo is live now and throughout Next Fest. It includes: - 90-mission campaign (subset) - 2–4 player local split-screen - Built-in map editor - Arena combat with light trails
WHAT TO EXPECT (HONESTLY): This is a beta. The core loop — the wall you leave behind becoming the arena — is playable and fun. The campaign, split-screen, and map editor work.
Online multiplayer does NOT work reliably. The netcode is in the build but unproven across real connections. If you try the demo during Next Fest, treat online as unfinished beta, not a feature.
TECHNICAL NOTE: Demo requires a Vulkan-capable GPU. No Vulkan, no demo — hard requirement.
The full game launches into Early Access on October 28, two days after Next Fest ends. If the demo clicks for you, wishlist it. If it doesn't, tell me why — I read everything.
Made solo in Godot 4.2 by Timothy Bunce / AlluringCoffee. No ads. No microtransactions — not now, not ever.
