Regular Update: UI Polish & New Audio
Hello inmates!
We are back with a regular update for Table of Truth. In this patch, we focused on refreshing our user interface and adding new sound effects to make your sessions smoother and more immersive.
User Interface (UI) Updates
We have redesigned key menus and lobby screens to improve readability and navigation:
- Main Menu: Cleaner layout for hosting and browsing lobbies, browsing cosmetics, and checking game settings. Bug reporting and community links are now easily accessible at the bottom-left corner.
- Lobby Screen: A clearer player list, ready indicators, chat window, and room configuration details (current map and selected game mode).
"How to Play" Mode Guides
To help new and returning players get straight into the action without confusion, we added dedicated guide screens for each game mode directly into the game:
1. Most Likely To
Vote on the player who best matches the prompt, or self-vote if you think it's you!
2. Spin the Bottle
Answer the prompt or challenge when selected, and let the table judge your answer.
3. Secret Answer
Cast your votes anonymously—identities and counts stay hidden until the final reveal.
4. Anonymous Confession
Submit your confessions in secret, then try to match who wrote what.
5. True or Lie
Tell a convincing story and fool the table to score points.
6. Empathy Test
Guess what target players would pick and test how well you know your friends.
Audio & Sound Effects
- Added sound effects for UI navigation, button clicks, and ready toggles.
- Added environmental audio cues for bottle spins, voting timers, and result reveals.
- General audio balancing across all game modes.
General Fixes & Improvements
- Minor bug fixes and connection stability improvements.
- Small layout optimizations for various screen resolutions.
Thank you for playing and supporting Table of Truth! If you run into any bugs or have feedback, feel free to reach out via our Discord server or the Steam Community Hub.
