Halloween toy shop coming soon + meet my new game, Video Game Store: Tidy Up!
Two bits of news today: the next Toy Keeper map is almost here, and I finally get to show you the new game I've been working on.
The Halloween toy shop: out this week or next
Toy Keeper's next map is a round, three-storey toy shop under a dome, dressed head to toe for Halloween: 185 new toys, six new display machines and spooky takes on the perks. It launches between this week and next, in every mode and in co-op.
Say hello to Video Game Store: Tidy Up
I'm really happy to introduce my new game, Video Game Store: Tidy Up ! It's a cozy first-person organizing game, and it will launch as a full release .
Add it to your wishlist on Steam! At heart it's a tidy-up: 3,000 scattered pieces (the cases, manuals and discs of 1,000 retro games ) waiting to be put back together. But this time you also run the shop .
Clean, pair up and shelve
Every game comes in pieces. On the work pad at the counter you open the case, rub the grime off the manual and both sides of the disc, slide the manual in under the clips, press the disc onto the hub and snap the case shut.
Then you type it into the till's stock system, stick on the printed label and stand it face-out on its console's shelf.
Run the shop
Customers walk in off the street, browse the shelves and queue at the till, asking for the games you've put back. You scan, bag, take the money and count out the change yourself. Mail orders come in too: pick the games, pack the carton and leave it for the courier.
Close up, or earn your perks
Just want to tidy in peace? Close the shop and sort at your own pace. But perks cost money, and sorting alone won't pay for them, so sooner or later you'll want to open the doors and sell. Two drinks machines offer 29 perks (faster legs, a bigger cotton, finders that light up a game's missing pieces, more room in your hands), and you can hire a cleaner, a cashier, a packer and a stocker to work beside you.
A shop that never closes
Put all thousand back and the shop stays open: games sell off the shelves, and people bring their old games and consoles to the till. Buy them, offer less or send them away, then clean up the old consoles and sell them on.
Public demo coming soon
You'll be able to try it yourself very soon: a public demo is on the way. Please add it to your wishlist so Steam lets you know the moment the demo and the game are out. Every wishlist helps me a lot!
Thanks so much for playing Toy Keeper and for all your support. See you in the haunted shop!
