Truxton Extreme is coming in hot! Following our recent appearance during Japan's

Shooter Fest celebrations, we've seen lots of love from longtime shmup veterans and

players discovering the series for the very first time.

With new players in mind, lets talk about one of Truxton Extreme’s new features:

Heart Starter mode

Shmups are hard.

For decades, shmups have challenged players with overwhelming enemy fire, screen-

filling boss attacks, and the constant threat of losing a run after a single mistake. It can

be a little too intense for new pilots.

Training Manoeuvres.

Heart Starter Mode is about giving every player a fighting chance. When you take a hit,

you'll recover after a few seconds. No lost lives and no run ending abruptly. Instead,

you'll stay in the fight, keeping your progression and (hopefully) learning from your

mistakes. If you're completely new to shmups or want to practice your dogfighting,

here is a less punishing way to fly!

You’ll need to hone your piloting skills if you want to stand a chance in Truxton

Extreme’s tougher modes.

Bootcamp is Just the Beginning.

The boss is still enormous, and the invasion is still relentless. Heart Starter Mode is the

training sim you’ll need before the real live fire missions start.

There is plenty for returning Tatsujin too! The classic challenge is still waiting for you.

No matter your skill level, Truxton Extreme is ready to get your heart racing.
