Halloween Update - A Darker Night Descends
Rulers of the night!
As the leaves are falling and the nights are growing longer, something has changed in the air over Sangavia. This All Hallows' Eve, a new horror haunts these lands.
You can read the full patch notes here.
This is everything that's waiting for you.
Combat, reforged
We know you've been itching for a good fight.
That's why we turned our focus on improving how combat works and feels. With reworked animation timing, attack distances, and other tweaks, we made sure that every strike lands with an impact you can feel. To make it more immersive, we also made sure your character no longer snaps around to face enemies behind you.
Your foes have learned a few new tricks too. Enemies now attack in series, and Inquisitors can hurl potions that conjure the Silver Veil across an area
To finish it off, new combat music and battle sounds should put you in a fighting (or feeding?) mood.
Feed in the thick of it
Which vampire could resist a little snack?
Now you're able to drink blood even in the middle of combat, mending yourself without ever leaving the fight. We believe this way you can bring even more horror to your enemies, tearing into the fight with blood running down your chin.
Spare a victim, or drain them to the last drop and let them fall? That is for you to decide in the heat of the moment. And if you choose to do so, you may begin the Kiss of Eternity then and there.
Spirits of the Season
Be careful, dear ruler, for this All Hallows' Eve a new enemy rises in your lands.
Evil Spirits descend in groups, and every one of their attacks is unblockable. Worse still, each blow lays the Cursed affliction upon you. They can dash clean through your body and, apart from shivers, leave a cursed cloud hanging where they struck.
The good news is, you will not stumble across them in the open. Evil Spirits rise only when something calls them: stepping into a cave, lifting a Pile of Bones, closing a chest, or standing against Vorago himself.
The New Hotbar
While not quite on brand with the festivities, we believe you will welcome this change.
Instead of skill slots, you will now be able to use a Hotbar with four slots. Aristocrat and Hunter each have their own hotbar, and switching between forms switches your loadout with them.
The Hunter's Hotbar can contain both Arcana and Consumables. The Aristocrat's can contain Consumables and a chosen few Arcana. Assign whatever you please from the Inventory and Arcana panels, and customize your loadout according to your will.
Hearts in Brine & Other Oddities
In the spirit of the season, we added a couple of new decorations for you to place around your majestic castle.
Additionally, we urge you to pay a visit to Fey Marshes. We think you might enjoy a stroll through the village, as its buildings have gone through some sprucing up!
See you in Sangavia.
