GAME RELEASE. HUGE UPDATE: NEW MAP, MONSTER, PERKS, AND MUCH MORE!

Steppe Hare Studio

Hello! Sorry for the delay in this update. Our top priority was to ensure that all the additions we've prepared work harmoniously together and improve the gameplay, even if it took longer than planned. Now we're ready to share our work.

Get your pickles ready, there's a lot in store!

Character Perks

Get your cigarette packs, because it's time to spend them. You can purchase unique abilities for your characters — some will help you in co-op play, others will benefit you in solo play. We've added ten abilities to choose from. You can combine any two during each game.

New Map — Sawmill

There is a secret research station hidden near the Village. There, they studied mythological anomalies: animated wooden dolls, giant plants, and artifacts capable of piercing through reality. You'll arrive there in an unusual vehicle to find the source of this dark power.

At the Sawmill, you'll encounter new quests and a new enemy.

New Monster: The Gray Wolf

A fearsome and ferocious hunter. He watches his prey closely and attacks if he sees bright light. Be careful, he likes to hunt from an ambush! The Gray Wolf lives in the Sawmill. And by the way, he's not the only one who can kill you there.

Traps

Nasty rabbits have set traps everywhere. Each playthrough will be hampered by two or three of nine unique types. The locations where they occur change with each session. Beware of bear traps, guard nesting dolls, tripwires with flares, ghosts that disguise themselves as useful items, and much more. If you have a jar handy, you can disarm the trap. Traps will appear not only on the new map, but also on the old one. And with them comes something else.

Dark Spirits

The Village and Sawmill are haunted by creepy ghosts that have arrived with the evil spirits. They won't cause much harm, but the higher the difficulty, the more often they frighten and distract! Falling paintings, living toys, ghostly claws, and black crows — dozens of unique manifestations of evil await you.

Changes in the Village

This isn't the only thing that's changed on the familiar map. We've taken your feedback into account and tweaked the gameplay to make it even more engaging:

• The potion recipe in the hut now changes with each playthrough.

• Keys and folders have been moved to more prominent locations. You can find keys on pedestals, and folders in safes.

• Flowers work differently. They shine brighter, especially when lying on the ground. And their light doesn't attract enemies! You can now throw flowers to combat the encroaching darkness.

General Gameplay Changes

These improvements work in both the Village and the Sawmill:

♦ The stove now emits a bright beam of light, making it easier to find in the dark on the highest difficulties. Keep it well-fed, and enemies will be fewer, and the world will be brighter.

♦ Using food has become much more convenient. It now attracts the nearest chicken, wherever it is, instead of all chickens in a radius. You no longer need to track chickens to lure them—just pour out the food and wait for the nearest one to come running.

♦ Rabbits that spot you no longer immediately attack, but sniff around. The further you are from the rabbit, the longer it takes them to react—use these seconds to turn off your flashlight and hide!

New Character – Policeman

The survivor squad has a new addition. A village police officer has joined the team. He's armed with vodka and snacks, just in case.

Stability

We've also made numerous adjustments that have significantly reduced the chance of crashing during a session.

We hope you enjoy this new corner of Vasilisa's world. Please leave your comments and feedback on what you think of this update!

Thank you for joining us!

Dima, Rinat, and Zarif, the Steppe Hare team.
