Grab your friends and find out which of you survives—and which of you enjoys doing the hunting a little too much.
WHAT LURKS BELOW is multiplayer hide-and-seek horror with procedurally generated arenas, monsters with distinct abilities, and proximity voice chat. Every whispered warning, nervous laugh, and badly timed scream could give you away.
Two ways to play:
- TAG: Catch a runner to swap roles. They become the monster. You start running.
- HUNT: Every runner caught becomes another hunter. Your friends are running out of places to hide - and people to trust.
Explore six hunting grounds, try different hunters, and experiment with the server settings to make your matches tense, chaotic, or downright unfair.
How to join
Click Request Access on our Steam store page to join the playtest waiting list. Steam will notify you when you’re admitted. Right now, you can grant additional access for up to 3 Steam friends!
We’d love to hear what scared you, what made you laugh, and what broke. Share your feedback in the Steam discussions, or join our Discord to find other players and organise a session.
