Your teammate is frozen. The puck isn’t.
A cold interruption
That is your teammate hanging underneath the helicopter. Yes, the match is still going.
Thin Ice has a habit of turning a straightforward chase into a recovery operation. If a skater ends up frozen in a hole, the helicopter helps pull them back out.
There is another rescue worth learning: when an ice resurfacer leaves a teammate frozen on the rink, boost into them to break them free. Getting a teammate moving again can be just as useful as chasing the puck yourself.
Keep an eye on each other
The best route to goal is not always a straight line. Look for a pass, watch the hazards and remember that an extra skater back in play gives your team another option.
What the Puck?! arrives on 9 November, with solo play, four-player local split screen and up to six players online.
Add it to your wishlist and bring a teammate who will actually come back for you.
