A more polished world
Whispers Aligned brings a major polish pass to the entire experience.
The world's lighting and textures have been reworked, while player and creature animations have been improved. Performance and stability have also received significant attention to make the experience smoother.
Richer progression
Progression, balance, and exploration rewards have also been adjusted.
A new cooking station offers 13 recipes, along with new resources unique to Unshū and Jukaï.
Equipment now has its own inventory, freeing up more space for your adventures. The map system has also been reworked, while a new skill, Scholarship, reduces the time required to read maps and books. Finally, new building pieces let you display some of the discoveries made during your journey.
Rediscover familiar lands
Experienced players will find plenty of new things along the way. The old Yanari farm can now be found in Unshū, while The Silent Workshop in Jukaï has become a true high-level dungeon for the most seasoned adventurers.
Ten statuettes have also been scattered across the world, new enemies now appear in certain liberated regions, and other secrets are waiting to be found... Will you uncover them?
A new face for Whisper of the Swallows
You may have already noticed another change: a brand-new Steam illustration was created by the incredibly talented Ced Cunanan (Cyanide Sid) . To me, this beautiful artwork perfectly captures the atmosphere of the game… and, above all, immortalizes that rather rare moment when the player is still alive. What’s next?
Whisper of the Swallows will take part in the Steam PvE Survival Crafting Fest 2026 at the end of the month.
The next major update will then pave the way for an entirely new biome: the mountains of Gan'yū .
