Every month, we'll be sharing early looks at what we're working on. It’s our way of celebrating the incredible community that has formed around the game. By taking you on this development journey with us we hope to show you how much love is going into Witchspire.

Welcome to the first ever Coven Chronicle!

Here's everything we shared this month:

The Gothic Building Set

80 new building pieces, featuring towering spires, pointed arches, decorative touches like gargoyles, and basically everything you need to build something properly gothic, coming in Haunted Magick .

Staffs Teaser

Say hello to our third weapon type! Alongside Wands and Spellblades, Staffs are joining the arsenal in the Frozen Tundra update. We've seen a few of you discussing them as a possibility recently so thought this would be a fun thing to share to round off our first month of sneak peeks.

This is dev-level stuff and we can't promise all these variants will appear at once, etc. but we wanted to let you see them taking shape. We will be going into more detail about the staffs with a future dev log, but for now which one do you want to use?

Magey Goodness

A first look at character customisation options coming your way: 2 new character heads and 1 new outfit. Get ready to switch up to a wise, wizardly look or an older wiser mage. Then pair them with this gorgeous vampiric outfit, The Sanguine Set.

Say Hello to Scrappy

Our upcoming craftable familiar, Scrappy, got his debut.

Scrappy is the only familiar in the game you won't find out in the wild, you'll make him yourself.

To craft one, you'll need to gather resources out in the world and salvage others (salvaging is coming as part of the Dormant Powers update, more on that soon), since Scrappy is made up of bits and bobs and pieces, it's part of his charm.

And during last week’s live stream we revealed something we hadn't shared before: there isn't just one Scrappy, there are six, one for every main element in the game! Each version requires different materials to craft and looks completely different, and every time you craft one, he comes out at a random rarity. So, you never quite know what you're going to get.

Two New Familiars

Introducing Pumpaling, a Halloween-themed member of the Rockling/Shardling/Charling family, with an explosive personality. He can be acquired in two different ways, but we’ll leave it at that for now...

And Enmire, a spirit/moose-like familiar, who is a protector of weaker creatures. He might just spawn in a unique way too, but again, that is all we can say on that, for now…

One More Thing

Keep an eye out, because a Scrappy plushie is on the way! The community voted on which familiar you want to see made into a plushie and Scrappy took the crown with over 50% of the votes! We don't have more to share just yet, but watch this space as we will let you know as soon as we can about how to order him etc.

Oh and as a little bonus for those that stayed to read the whole post... Haunted Magick is dropping TOMORROW!
