About this game
Command your army. Fight beside it. Make the castle yours.
March Out! brings real-time army strategy and third-person action together on the same battlefield. Recruit your soldiers, develop your kingdom, and decide when to advance—then take up your weapon and lead the charge yourself.
Raise a shield wall, hold a vital road, or bring artillery to the enemy gates. Your commander can fight, guard, rally troops, ride a mount, and operate castle weapons while the battle unfolds around you.
Build an army worth bringing home
Lead a six-siege singleplayer campaign through woodland borders, fortified crossings, and the final stronghold at King's Reach. Advance through three technology tiers, mix troop roles and specialists, and protect the farms and villages that support your war effort.
Surviving soldiers carry their service into later sieges. Choose your campaign difficulty, prepare your next expedition, and decide how much of your treasury to commit to recruitment, repairs, and defenses.
Turn the battlefield into your stronghold
Build Arrow Watches, Bolt Bastions, and Stone Batteries at designated foundations. Reinforce your defenses, command troops to hold their ground, and meet advancing armies with arrows, bolts, and catapult fire.
Take control of a wall weapon, field specialist troops, or unlock the War Elephant and throw spears from its towering saddle. Horses, artillery, and ragdoll impacts make leading from the front an experience of its own.
Five ways to fight online
- Castle War — 2 players: Conquer your rival's castles while preserving the army and economy that carry you through the war.
- King of the Keep — 2–4 players: Fight for control of the central courtyard.
- Capture the Banner — 2–4 players: Seize the shared banner and bring it home while rivals try to stop you.
- Last Castle Standing — 2–4 players: Defend your stronghold and destroy the competition.
- Co-op Last Stand — 2–4 players: Defend one shared castle through ten escalating waves. Command your own army and treasury while coordinating shared upgrades and defenses.
Gather through Steam lobbies and invitations, with optional proximity voice chat to keep your fellow commanders close.
A castle you can call your own
Walk through your Commander's Hall between battles. Watch miniature armies clash on the living War Table, visit the Royal Outfitter, display earned trophies, and invite friends into your decorated Hall.
Earn Royal Marks through qualifying battles and spend them on commander appearances, heraldry, horse customization, Hall furnishings, and equipment unlocks. Make your house recognizable from its colors and banner to the room where you plan your next campaign.
Visit the Wall of Crowns to browse global rankings across different accomplishments. The top three commanders take their places as statues, with ranked players' published character designs appearing in the display.
The Long Watch is here
Available October 1–November 7 UTC, this seasonal siege challenges you to capture Hollow Crown Citadel and confront the Lantern Marshal. Complete its objectives to earn permanent keepsakes for your commander and castle, with Royal Marks still awarded for qualifying replays.
