v1.1.2.0 — New Relics, Tutorial & Opponent Dialogue
Seventeen Steps v1.1.2.0 — New Relics, Tutorial & Opponent Dialogue
Welcome back to the table.
This update introduces 9 new relics, 3 permanent upgrades, and a guided tutorial. The person sitting across from you also has something to say.
More Relics, More Choices
Nine new relics bring the total to 36. Reveal the suit distribution of your opponent’s candidate tiles, redeal your own starting pool, conceal a discard, or peek at the ura dora. New ways to gather information and manage resources open up more options for your builds.
Consumables now support multiple charges, with remaining uses shown directly in the UI. New relics can grant extra charges or supply consumables at the start of each encounter.
The life-saving Heart relic has also been changed to a legendary passive that can save you only once per run.
Three New Permanent Upgrades
- Start a run by choosing one of three relics.
- Gain opportunities to reroll relic rewards.
- Earn bonus gold at the end of a run based on how many relics you acquired along the way.
A Guided Tutorial
A certain survivor will guide you through a complete hand, from tile selection and defense to winning, loading a round, and pulling the trigger.
New players will receive a tutorial recommendation on startup. You can also enter or replay it from the main menu at any time. The tutorial is separate from your regular progress and will not overwrite an existing run.
Your Opponents Have Something to Say
Opponents now have dialogue reflecting their personalities, reacting to the hand, loaded rounds, and relic use. Expect small talk, taunts, and a few familiar references.
Dialogue features typewriter-style subtitles, highlighted keywords, and sound effects, with separate dialogue volume and opponent subtitle controls. New content supports all seven game languages.
Improvements & Fixes
- Set the default game speed to 1.25× for new players. Existing preferences are preserved.
- Improved in-game settings, including display mode and resolution controls with confirmation and automatic rollback.
- Added a smoking effects toggle and improved smoke rendering.
- Improved subtitle placement and in-game UI wording.
- Fixed issues with relic replacement, reward choices, oath limits, and repeated activation of the life-saving relic.
- Fixed cylinder capacity updates after relic removal, along with several dialogue trigger and state-checking issues.
- Fixed dialogue volume restoration on startup.
Thank you for your feedback and support!!!
