When players discover BloomKeeper for the first time, they often notice the landscapes, the flowers, and the tiny little seeds roaming around the island.
Those seeds are the Pouics.
You already know a little about them, but today we wanted to tell you more about these adorable creatures that will be with you throughout your adventure.
Pouics embody life
Pouics are much more than just creatures. They represent life itself.
Each Pouic is a tiny seed capable of bringing the world back to life. When it takes root in the soil, nature reclaims its place. Even in water, it always finds a way to make life bloom.
And despite what you might think, a Pouic never truly dies. Not even if a Guardian accidentally rolls over it. :)
Life always finds a way.
Where do Pouics come from?
Pouics are the seeds of the Pouicus. When a Guardian shakes a Pouicus, new Pouics awaken and immediately scatter to explore the world around them.
As you gradually restore the scorched lands, you'll discover new Pouicus that will awaken even more Pouics. Little by little, Hedera regains its energy... and that's when things start getting a lot livelier!
Guiding them is your role
Pouics are curious. Very curious! If you let them, they'll happily wander off in every direction.
That's where you come in. As the Guardian, it's up to you to guide them, gather them together, and lead them across the island.
At first, looking after a handful of Pouics is easy. But as your colony grows, things become much more strategic.
A larger colony lets you restore more land and make faster progress, but it also requires more attention and organization.
- Should you move forward with a small group and take your time?
- Or gather a huge colony to restore the world faster?
Every approach has its strengths. Whether you're playing solo or in co-op, you'll quickly discover that there's no single right way to guide the Pouics through Hedera.
What about the Malpouics?
It's impossible to talk about the Pouics without mentioning their grumpier cousins: the Malpouics.
They too were born from this land. But the scorched lands changed them.
Wherever the Pouics help bring life back, the Malpouics spread the scorched lands and help them grow.
You'll meet them throughout your journey. They may not be the friendliest creatures you'll come across, but they are just as much a part of the world's balance.
Every place that blooms begins with a Pouic
Behind every meadow, every flower that blooms, and every region reclaimed from the ashes, there's always a small group of Pouics.
Without them, bringing Hedera back to life would simply be impossible.
And if the island slowly regains its colors, it's thanks to them.
