Update notes for October 26
These are today's changes to Bravemech: The Century War, from version 0.73.414 to 0.73.419.
v0.73.419
- Room tabs now always fit on screen, at any window size.
- Tab names no longer break onto extra lines.
v0.73.418
- The tutorial's pop-ups no longer sit on a place's name on the map.
v0.73.417
- Crew conversations: well over a hundred fixes. Names, ages and places now match, people who have died are no longer talked about as if they were aboard, and some long lines are easier to read.
- Updated voice lines for the changed story scenes in English, Japanese and Chinese.
v0.73.416
- Crew conversations now wait for the right moment. Nobody talks about a crewmate who has died as if they were still aboard, and talks written for one side only come up on that side.
- Fixed a few ages and place names in crew talks so the story's dates add up.
- Training now uses the same battle screen as the Century campaign: the pilot HUD, each lesson shown on the button it teaches, and wingman orders given through COMMS. Docking in Training repairs your mech fully in three seconds.
- The opening's year-and-place title no longer sits on top of the narration.
- Tutorial lines in battle now sit at the top of the screen, clear of the fight and the controls.
- Tutorial tags on the map sit beside what they point at, so they no longer cover the ship, its menu or the hexes you click.
- Choose Your Ace lights up only the mech you are choosing.
- Your commander's card on the level-up screen shows your pilot, not a stranger.
- The aim light starts at the gun's tip instead of a square edge.
- Your second fight, the First Assignment, is shorter.
- The First Assignment now pays enough materials for one mech upgrade and one ship upgrade, and your first officer walks you through both. Custom parts arrive once you know your way around upgrades.
v0.73.415
- Controllers now rumble in fights: your own shots, hits you take, a broken shield, overheating, a lost limb. You can turn it off in Settings → Accessibility → Combat rumble.
- The move stick is smoother: a near-diagonal push keeps its angle, and a light push moves your mech gently.
v0.73.414
- Forty more of your crew now have something to say: two new conversations each for 20 Alliance and 20 Trinity characters. When one of them wants a word, look for the TALK badge in their room.
Thank you for playing, and please keep telling us what you think in the Discussions.
