We want to thank every single one of you for the incredible support you've shown during Steam Next Fest.
Thousands of new players discovered Colonies of The Remnant, played the demo, added the game to their wishlists, watched our broadcasts and shared valuable feedback with us. Seeing so many people join us on this journey has been an amazing experience for our small team.
We've seen some content creators and players wondering how much of the full game is represented in the demo.
The demo was never intended to showcase the full scope of Colonies of The Remnant. Its purpose was simply to give you a taste of the atmosphere, world and core gameplay during Steam Next Fest. Many mechanics, visuals and sandbox systems were intentionally scaled back for the demo version and the playable area was limited to a small section of the world.
Some of you may have noticed that the store page currently lists the world size as 6 square kilometers. The world has continued to evolve throughout development and we'll be updating some of those details with more accurate information in the near future. Even then, those numbers won't be final because the world will continue to expand through future updates.
The demo only included a single Memory sequence. In Early Access, you'll encounter additional short playable Memory segments that take you back into the past and reveal more of the world's story.
We also mentioned that the demo contained only one hidden code. At launch, hidden codes, clues and discoveries will be scattered across many different locations. You'll be able to track clues, secrets and discoveries through your tablet while exploring the world.
Development continues across every major part of the game. Resources, survivors, AI enemies, colonies, zombies, trading, diplomacy, strategic view systems and many other mechanics continue to evolve as we move toward Early Access.
Atlanta and New York are only part of the story. Signals continue to emerge from Miami, Washington and Rome, each bringing new mysteries, survivors and discoveries waiting to be uncovered.
As we continue preparing for Early Access, the standalone demo will be removed on Tuesday. This weekend will be your last chance to experience it before it's gone.
Thank you again for all the support, feedback and thousands of wishlists you've given us throughout Steam Next Fest. Seeing so many new players discover Colonies of The Remnant has been an incredible experience for our team.
The journey is only beginning and we're looking forward to welcoming you back on July 17.
