Hello Survivors,
A colony isn't kept alive by weapons alone.
Sometimes, a well-timed trade agreement can be more valuable than a victory on the battlefield.
In the world of Colonies of The Remnant, you're not the only group struggling to survive. Some colonies will be eager to trade with you. Some will seek alliances. Others may see you as a rival.
Through the [Z] Strategic View System, you'll be able to monitor colonies across different regions of the world, establish contact with them and shape your relationships over time.
With Trade and Diplomacy, you'll be able to:
- Negotiate trade agreements with other colonies
- Establish and improve diplomatic relations
- Conduct peace negotiations
- Declare war on rival colonies
- Form alliances with friendly settlements
- Exchange resources to meet critical needs
- Manage Wood, Iron, Food, Medicine and other valuable resources
- Monitor your colony's economy
- Track colonies across different regions of the world
- Observe shifting balances of power between colonies
- Send assassins and conduct covert operations
- Communicate with other survivor communities
One colony may possess the medicine you desperately need. Another may be struggling with food shortages. By trading resources, you can help both sides survive while opening the door to new opportunities.
However, not every relationship starts on friendly terms.
Some colonies won't trust you. Others may be hostile due to past events. In these situations, you can attempt to improve relations, negotiate agreements or simply choose to go your own way.
Some colonies prioritize security above all else, while others focus on economic growth. Because of this, the same proposal may be received very differently depending on who you're dealing with.
The world is not populated by zombies alone.
Every colony has its own priorities, needs and long-term goals. The decisions you make may influence not only your own settlement, but also the balance of power across the surrounding world.
Trade, diplomacy and inter-colony relations are intended to be important parts of Colonies of The Remnant. After release, we plan to expand these systems further with new colonies, additional diplomatic options and new relationship-driven scenarios.
