Gold Miner:Classic Edition

Two-player games can now be saved

GameRival

Hello Miners!

You can now save a two-player game. Many of you told us it hurt to give up a good run just because you had to leave. This update fixes that.

How to save

After each level, the shop has a new blue "Save" button in the top left.

Click it to open the save screen. Saving costs 10% of your current money, at least $1. You can't save when you have $0 or less.

Choose "Save and Quit" to save and go back to the main menu. Choose "Back to Shop" if you changed your mind. Nothing is spent.

How to continue

On the main menu, click "2 Players". The game asks if you want to continue your last game. Choose "Continue" to start from the next level with the same money, items and dynamite you had when you saved.

Choosing "New Game" does not delete your save. The next time you save, the new save replaces the old one.

Each save can be loaded once. When you continue and start the next level, the save is used up. You can save again in any later shop.

Saves sync with Steam Cloud, so you can continue on another computer with the same Steam account.

A continued game is checked and goes on the leaderboards like any other game.

Single player can't be saved yet. We'd like to hear what you think of two-player saves first.

Other fixes

  • On some computers the game closed when a web link could not be opened. It doesn't anymore.
  • The "Unable to connect to Steam" page now has two buttons, "Copy Diagnostic Info" and "Open Diagnostics Folder", to make it easier to send us a support ticket.
  • In English with controller button prompts, the text on the blue buttons in two-player mode was off center. It is centered now.

Questions or ideas? Let us know in the Discussions or send us a support ticket.

Also, our new game Gold Miner: Party Rush is in Steam Next Fest with a free demo. Up to 6 players can dig for gold together. Come give it a try!
