Hotfix 3: Combat, Controls & Early Game Improvements

Gamepad improvements

• Fixed several gamepad issues, mostly related to UI navigation.
• Fixed an issue where a single D-Pad press could move the menu selection two positions instead of one.
• We're still investigating the "slippery" directional movement reported on certain gamepad models. This issue isn't fixed yet, but we're working on it!

Tutorial & early game tweaks

• Reduced the number of enemies in the first encounter after the tutorial to give new players more time to get comfortable with the combat mechanics.
• Adjusted the aggro range of certain snipers to make encounters feel fairer.
• Tweaked the enemy aggro zone near the Wanted Poster to make respawning usable.

Hound Gang Camp

• Hound Gang Camp now appears as the first destination in the main Fireplace travel menu, making it easier to find.

Codex improvements

• Significantly increased the speed of equipping, unequipping, opening, and closing the Codex, making it much more convenient to use during combat.

Bug fixes & cleanup

• Fixed an issue where the Rooster Feathers talisman's buff could incorrectly disappear after resting at a Fireplace.
• Fixed broken fonts in the Codex when playing in Turkish.

• Don't skip Hound Gang Camp! Visiting the camp gives you access to new weapons and abilities you can purchase, letting you experiment with different builds and customize your playstyle.
• Study your enemies after the fight. The Codex automatically switches to the entry for the enemy you're aiming at, even if that enemy is already dead, so make use of it!
• Open the full Codex. Press the Right Mouse Button to expand the Codex into its full book view, where you can access the table of contents and browse all available entries.
