How Crow Cargo works: never leave a squadmate behind

Dekosta

Last Evac launches in Early Access in six days, on October 30 . Here is the mechanic we get asked about most.

A squad of four

Queue SQUAD with up to three friends. A smaller party, or a player alone, is filled up to four: first with other players, then with bots. Squadmates share what they see, ping enemies, loot and places, mark landing spots and bring each other back up when one goes down.

Out is not the end

When a teammate is taken out (not just downed), they leave a dog tag where they fell. It stays for 90 seconds, once per player per match, until the zone's third stage is over.

Crow Cargo

  • Pick up the tag with E. You can carry the tags of every fallen squadmate at once.
  • Run it to one of the city's crow post boxes (on the sidewalks, by the farm and at the depot) and hold E for 10 seconds.
  • The crows fly a parcel in from the nearest edge of the map and drop it beside the box. Your teammates climb out at full health with an axe and nothing else: get them geared up fast.
  • Ten seconds standing still at a post box leaves you in the open. Pick your moment, or have the squad cover you.

Pick roles that work together

  • Scout: the pet crow flies over walls and marks enemies, keen ears turn sounds into ripples.
  • Breaker: a scrap shield against fire from the front, and a Molotov to flush a squad out of a house.
  • Medic: a quick wrap that heals on the move, and a gas mask to cross the zone.
