American Lunch Day Update!
Hi, this is KimStudio, the developer of Lunch Duty. This is our first update since the Early Access launch. Thank you so much to everyone who is playing!
New content: American Lunch Day (free)
The USA joins as the first country of World Lunch Day. It shows up from time to time as one of the special days.
- 12 new dishes: Burger Buns, Hot Dog Buns, Corn Soup, Clam Chowder, Burger Patties, Fried Chicken, Sausages, Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese, French Fries, Brownie, Apple Pie
- American-size portions! Students ask for more than usual on this day.
- Brownies and apple pie come out of the fridge just like milk, and are served by the piece.
New view: the school outside
You can now see the schoolyard, the main building, the annex and the gym through the cafeteria windows, with apartment blocks and mountains in the distance.
For new players
- First day guide: on day 1, a card on the left of the screen tells you what to do next. Press H at any time to show or hide it.
Staff room
- The staff room closes when lunch starts. Finish the staff portions during prep time.
- Staff trays that haven't been delivered by the start of lunch are lost.
- The teachers' table is cleared once lunch is over.
Order screen
- Each dish now shows how many students it will feed, rated Short / Good / Plenty.
- Removed the confusing "1 batch = N portions" line.
Balance
- When there is no clean pot, food in the cooker no longer burns. It is kept warm instead. Once a pot is free, you have 30 seconds to take the food out.
Bug fixes
- From day 2, the staff tray was invisible and the gauge dropped back to 0 while holding E
- Pots left on the serving line and storage racks disappeared at the end of lunch, so the pot count was wrong during cleanup
- Cleanup ended before all students had returned their trays
- The serving gauge stayed green after going past the target
- Serving kept cutting out when a student was standing in front of the counter
