Update 1.1.0 - Build 3: India, Iran, carriers and battlefield fixes

Selman Demiray

Next: Build 4 optimization

Optimization across supported hardware is our highest priority for Build 4, with the aim of smoother gameplay and more consistent frame times while preserving visual quality. We are investigating severe slowdown, including reports in 1v1, and remaining map-border flicker. These issues are not fully fixed in Build 3. We will report tested improvements in the next update; hardware-specific gains and a release date are not yet confirmed.

Update 1.1.0 - Build 3

Minor update: India and Iran, carrier aviation and clearer battlefield controls

This minor update adds India and Iran, expands ocean carrier aviation, improves unit cards and battlefield controls, and refines equipment, shoreline rendering and background audio. It includes the published 1.0.1 / Build 2 text fixes.

India and Iran

  • India and Iran replace South Korea and North Korea in faction selection, flags, names, equipment rosters and national models. The other six factions retain their identities.
  • India fields an aircraft carrier and MiG-29K strike and combat air patrol aircraft. Iran has no carrier, destroyer, missile submarine or nuclear stock. Aircraft support orders and AI choices follow each nation's equipment availability.
  • New ground, aircraft and naval fittings, matching wrecks and complete-model portraits accompany the new rosters.

Equipment details and launchers

  • Corrects Indian and Iranian sprocket alignment, track clearance and wheel wells, and gives the Pinaka rack proper chassis clearance.
  • Pinaka rockets leave the matching launcher mouths. Its 12 visible tube caps follow firing, depletion and reload; three-rail SAM displays use their actual rail count. Simulation ammunition and reload rules are unchanged.
  • Indian rifle magazine colours match between assembled models and animated parts.

Ocean carrier aviation

  • Ocean-only battles support carriers and carrier-backed tactical aircraft for eligible factions.
  • Return and rearm rules follow a living friendly carrier's current position. Paid aircraft reserves wait for a replacement deck if a carrier is lost. Air Tasking uses the same deck selection and no-deck status.
  • Fixes a carrier-aircraft turning crash and incorrect deck launch height. Physical arrested landings are not included.

Unit cards, selection and portraits

  • The deployment tray adapts to available space and pages overflow cards. Selected units have larger, correctly proportioned portraits and scrollable details.
  • Selected-unit details and Air Tasking share the side-panel space with separate scrolling. Mixed-map tabs and the Off-map tray fit at 720p/150% interface scale.
  • Portraits wait for complete models, including submarines, carriers and tracked vehicles. Trench previews use their own geometry, and paging labels use supported characters.
  • Deployment cards reuse a living-unit count within each interface update. Unit caps are unchanged.

Readable labels retained from Build 2

  • Retains the published fixes for intelligence-sharing controls, shared-contact timestamps, network statistics and temporary Steam peer labels.
  • BY and SOURCE distinguish the spotting or locking unit from its target. Last-seen separators remain readable; target identity and fog of war are unchanged.

Match setup

  • The field-fill estimate appears only for 50v50 and 100v100. Battle sizes and unit caps are unchanged.
  • National Arsenal summaries show available equipment, including Iran's Alvand frigate in mixed theaters and coastal USV on ocean maps. Both columns wrap within their available width at enlarged interface scales.

Objective borders and terrain

  • Refines capture-zone and map-outline depth handling and thin-line filtering. Shoreline coverage follows the ground surface on and beyond the map, reducing bright coastal speckling in sampled views.
  • Terrain detail filtering accounts for stretched and warped pixels. Close material selection follows output resolution so supersampling does not change its chosen scale.
  • Adjusts clear-noon exposure for Standard Film Look. Broader terrain and lighting improvements remain unfinished.

Graphics options

  • Supersampling shows its actual render resolution and pixel cost, including after window resizing. Existing quality choices are preserved.
  • NVIDIA DLSS and the planned NVIDIA/AMD temporal upscaling integrations are not included.

Steam display names and career history

  • When available, the Steam name captured at launch is used in menus, multiplayer identity and chat. The career callsign is labelled separately; Steam renames appear after relaunch.
  • Faction migration preserves career identity, XP, rating, wins and medals. Preferences for retired nations reset to the default nation; the other six are unchanged.
  • Earlier South Korean and North Korean national wins remain retired history. India and Iran have separate totals. Unsupported newer history formats are held rather than overwritten.

AI regency and saved battle results

  • Trenches and garrison infantry bought by an AI regent retain their commander's player seat. Pointer selection and mouse group counts, tooltips and recall recognize retained ownership consistently with keyboard recall.
  • Selecting a unit or group leaves the regent active; issuing a valid order returns command to the player.
  • Supported saved results from 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 retain their original identity and avoid duplicate career credit. Live match version checks remain strict.

Passenger transport

  • Adjusts passenger head clearance, carried-weapon movement and hand placement during boarding and disembarking. Some transport animation clipping remains.

Ranked season and update history

  • Ranked remains 6v6 only, with no 1v1 or 2v2 fallback. Season 0 dates are unchanged; its configured opening is October 9, 2026 at 21:00 UTC.
  • Version 1.1.0 / Build 3 has matching in-game notes and a Steam announcement. Earlier published update notes are preserved.

Background audio

  • Background wind, weather and battle ambience fade with camera distance, including while paused. The reported constant far-view noise was gone or clearly reduced in local play.

Planned work - not included in Build 3

  • Performance remains the first priority: measure CPU/GPU bottlenecks, reduce unnecessary work and improve frame-time consistency while preserving visual quality. Efficient hardware use matters more than reaching 100% utilization.
  • Further terrain and lighting work targets bright clear-day scenes and lost detail at medium and far distances. This update does not complete that work or establish photorealistic quality.
  • C5 reconstruction remains a priority as a fallback and alongside compatible options. NVIDIA and AMD temporal upscaling work, hardware coverage, quality and performance validation remain unfinished.
  • Future updates will report what they deliver and measure. No delivery date or universal hardware compatibility is promised.

Compatibility

  • Update every client and host together. Simulation rules are now 104; earlier-rule recordings, including rules 102 and 103, are refused rather than replaying the old factions or ocean rules incorrectly. Saved in-progress recovery from an earlier public release is not compatible with this release. Wire protocol 104 and Season 0 dates are unchanged. Do not use an older executable to write migrated career/history files.

Verified

  • Targeted checks covered faction rosters, portraits, interface layouts, flight and carrier-service rules, regency ownership and audio attenuation. Local play confirmed order-driven regency handback, selected-panel scrolling at 720p/150%, carrier purchase and movement, aircraft launch and normal menu exit. Stationary and moving-camera samples showed reduced coastal speckling with residual variation. The limitations above remain.

Known issues

  • Some transport animation clipping remains.
  • Severe lag at far camera views and broader terrain/lighting quality remain unresolved. No measured FPS gain or completed photorealism is claimed.
  • Rejoin Battle can remain visible after the last human commander leaves a private battle, even though that battle cannot be resumed.
  • Residual shoreline and border variation remains. Complete flicker removal and close-up shoreline quality are not established; broader audio coverage is also incomplete.
  • A carrier launch was observed locally, but a complete live return, refuel and rearm cycle was not. Focused simulation checks cover those service rules; physical arrested landings are not included.
  • Remote Steam multiplayer, full-match completion, player save/load and Steam overlay behavior have not received complete live verification for this update.
  • Steam accounts sharing one Windows user still share local career and achievement state. Some Unicode names and chat characters are outside the bundled font coverage.
  • Reported replay defects and the aircraft-to-tank identification issue remain under investigation. A saved-result warning and complete real-profile reconciliation also remain unresolved.
  • At enlarged interface scales, menu career/version details may require scrolling. Some combat notifications still overlap instruction, tracking or zone-collapse banners.
