The developer's own words about Among Us — the one part of this page that is not derived from the catalog.
No pitch from the developer yet
Everything above is derived from the catalog and the storefront. If you made Among Us, this is where you get to say what it is in your own words.
Based on 22 reviews
Inert in this prototype — nothing you write would be stored.
Reviewers value it as the cheapest reliable way to get a large group into the same argument, and the meeting phase is what almost everyone praises rather than the tasks. It scales to more players than anything else in this category. The persistent complaints are downtime while doing tasks, how badly it plays with strangers, and the fact that a group of experienced friends solves it much faster than the game expects.
Summarized for this prototype from the sample reviews below.

It is still the only thing we can put nine people into without splitting the group, and it costs less than a coffee. The meetings are where the game lives — three minutes of everyone talking over each other is worth the eight minutes of wiring puzzles that bought it.
The tasks are downtime and everyone knows it. Playing with a practised group also breaks it quickly, because four people who know each other's speech patterns find the impostor almost immediately and the round ends before it has started.
Liar's Bar does the accusation part better and caps at four. This is what you play when the group is too big for anything else, and that niche is genuinely uncontested.
Every review on this page is sample content written for this prototype. No real players were surveyed and the handles are invented. Helpful and Report record nothing; Share is real and links straight to the review.

Nobody has to be taught it. Every group has at least four people who already know the maps, which means it is the fastest possible thing to start when you have an unexpected crowd and half an hour.
Public lobbies are unplayable now, so it is a friends-only game, and that means you need a specific headcount on a specific night. Below six players the deduction stops working entirely.
Compared with the party-board games, it needs no explanation and produces better arguments. Compared with proximity-chat horror, it has aged into being a filler rather than a main event.
