Update notes for October 24
These are today's changes to Bravemech: The Century War, from version 0.73.388 to 0.73.397.
v0.73.397
- Your second battle now teaches Command. The first officer shows you where to pick it and where to launch, and in the fight he points you to the order cards. Give any order and your squad does it. You can switch back to Pilot before any fight.
- Leaving a room in the ship hub no longer leaves that room's card glowing gold when you use the mouse.
v0.73.396
- You can now change who flies the commander's slot in every squad from the start of the story: fly it yourself, hand your mech to another pilot, or leave it aboard and command from the bridge.
- Paint is in the Hangar as soon as the Hangar opens.
- Every HOLD button now shows its whole HOLD tab, at any screen size.
- The sector map no longer draws 3D planets under the painted ones, and their small moons are gone too.
- Every place on the sector map now has its own bright hex in its owner's colour, so you can see where to click to visit it.
- The stray line under a place's name tag (like the one at Red Mesa) is gone.
v0.73.394
- New: mouse buttons can be bound in Settings > Controls > Menu keys, so a gaming mouse's extra buttons can open menus, officers and pages.
- Changed: the Menu keys table now names each side, L.Shift and R.Shift, L.Ctrl and R.Ctrl.
v0.73.390
- New: Settings > Controls > Menu keys. Every keyboard shortcut for menus and the map can be changed there, and every on-screen key hint shows your keys.
- Changed: on the map, Shift+1 to Shift+6 now pick the bridge officers from left to right, captain first.
- Fixed: Shift plus a number on the map now opens that officer, as the cards always said.
v0.73.389
- The battle lesson's line and tag now step aside while your overdrive portrait is on screen, so the two never cover each other.
v0.73.388
- New overdrive moment: your pilot's portrait flashes in on the left with an OVERDRIVE card. Your mech flares white-hot and bursts with light in its overdrive colour, or its Bravecore's colour when one is socketed. A rival ace's overdrive now shows too, from the right.
Thank you for playing, and please keep telling us what you think in the Discussions.
