v.1.1.0 - No time limit mode, gameplay settings and more
Hey everyone!
Your prayers have been answered. Here it is: update v1.1.0!
This is probably the biggest update so far, packed with pretty much almost everything you’ve been asking me for. And as if that wasn’t enough, I managed to get it done in less than two weeks after the game’s release (you can put the “I am speed” meme here). So, here we go!
1. Chill Mode (formerly Comfy Mode)
Probably the most requested feature so far. This mode removes the annoying timer and lets you play without any time limits.
Since you now have as much time as you want, overtime has been removed from this mode (only this one - overtime is still available in Standard Mode).
I hope this mode will make the game more enjoyable for those of you who liked the concept but weren’t a fan of the time limit.
2. Top Priority Form
This is a new mechanic I’ve added to the game, and it’s actually my own original idea!
From now on, every once in a while, a Top Priority Form will show up in your office. You’ll have 1.5 minutes to return it along with the corresponding item.
It’s clearly marked with a big red “TOP PRIORITY” stamp, the form itself has a slightly reddish tint, and the narrator will let you know when it gets printed. You won’t miss it, don’t worry!
This is another random event that I hope will make the gameplay even more satisfying.
3. Gameplay Settings
Many of you complained about earthquakes and bombs. Some wanted each shift to last longer, others wanted it to be shorter. Some wanted more forms to be printed during the day, while others wanted fewer items to fall.
Well, now you can customize the gameplay to suit your preferences! You can adjust the following settings:
- Bomb spawn frequency
- Blackout frequency
- Earthquake frequency
- Top Priority Form frequency
- Item quantity
- Form quantity
- Shift duration
All random events are disabled by default in Chill Mode. You can change these settings by clicking the gear icon that appears when selecting a game mode in the Play tab.
4. Changes
Besides the main features added to the game, I’ve also made a few gameplay changes:
- Requiring Attention visual indicators are now enabled by default
- Requiring Attention visual indicators now fill up with color based on how much time you have left to complete the indicated action
- Bomb fuse time increased from 10 to 15 seconds
5. Bug Fixes
- Fixed the 12-hour time format display
- Fixed an issue with skipping the tutorial when the narrator volume was set to -1
- Minor UI fixes
- Localization fixes
And that’s pretty much it for this update! I hope you’ll enjoy it. As for me, I need to take a few days off from the game. I’ve been working on it every single day since release.
If you're enjoying the game, please consider leaving a positive review. It helps the game gain visibility on Steam, and it gives me a huge amount of motivation to keep working on it.
Thanks, and see you in the next update!
