v86 Demo: Radio songs, Kie lines, explosions!
Greetings, Relics! V86 Demo Revision Notes--
New Features:
-Voice meter added to the sound settings on the main menu, along with a button you can hold to hear your own voice for testing your mic
-Radio polish - added 40+ songs that can be heard, among other things
-New Kie "reaction" lines play for first-time players to help them learn the game, with reactions to things like using a trap for the first time. All other sounds fade out while Kie speaks so she can be heard, and a "Kie is Speaking" notice shows on the HUD.
-Field Manual text completely overhauled and made up-to-date, now with clickable sub-headers to make it easier to use
-An exploding Leech Trap will now destroy nearby things like doors, windows, etc.
General Improvements:
-Illusion evidence improved
-Added early access testers to the credits
-A hint sound now plays when a hint pops up
-Entity speed changes now ramp quickly instead of snapping, so entity movement looks more natural with no weird speed spikes
-FPS limiter now defaults to 60 so your PC doesn't render the game at 200 fps and max out your PSU or something
-Once an entity starts hunting, it now keeps hunting as long as it stays in rooms it's allowed to be in. If it goes outside and can't be outside, the hunt will end early. This means a entity hunting inside the house on a nice day keeps hunting as long as it's in the house, so luring the entity outside is less safe now.
-Improved the entities that wander the borders of locations. They now walk patrol paths set up around each location's boundary, and fog entities spawn in a new and improved way.
-Dead player ghosts are now kept inside levels properly
Tuning:
-Significantly reduced the amount of extra crafting resources players get from Enticine amounts
-Major XP curve change, lines up properly with playtime. It will now take longer to unlock all skills. More skills will be coming...
Tweaks:
-Tweaked a particular entity's abilities
-Discovery mode is now off by default on new saves
Tutorial improvements:
-You can now extract the trap in the tutorial with the grab beam
-The tutorial no longer tells you to go grab the trap until it has closed, and grabbing it no longer causes the ghost to hunt again
-Added a hint after extracting an object about how important extracting Enticine objects is for resources and for meeting the quota
-Added two small hints at the end of the tutorial about crafting and upgrading the base
-Illusion evidence now has its own section that points at an actual illusion and shows you what to look for
-Text improvements for the part where the ghost hunts because you placed the trap
General Fixes:
-Fixed a entity getting stuck inside a table it spawned into
-Fixed radiation attached to certain objects not working for clients
-Fixed the FPS limit being selectable while frame generation is on, and fixed FPS limiter settings not being applied or saved correctly
-Fixed Enticine leech traps showing as SPENT in the inventory if they were tripped but got no Enticine. They were still usable, and now they don't show as spent in this case.
-Fixed illusion props not being throwable
-Fixed the cat's hat not saving properly, so the cat keeps its hat on now!
-Fixed witch cat hat being the wrong size
-Fixed day numbers on the Info screen spilling out of their buttons
-Fixed paintings being held facing the wrong way
-fixed Research Station unlocks not applying to the entire team when successful. Now one roll is made for the whole team and if it succeeds everyone gets the unlock.
-fixed Halloween items scale issues
-fixed player TVs in the ship flickering and going translucent
-fixed collision errors in the base (above pipes and scaffolds, cabin doorways)
-aligned screens at the front of the base
-fixed players doubling up on the players board
-exterior rocks now properly block players and player ghosts
Rural House:
-New spooky entity sound events
-Fixed not being able to get the max Enticine amount in Rural House
-You can now get through the brick wall in the basement
-brick wall collision fixes: no more throwing things through the wall.
