Development Update #14: New Run Modifiers, Smarter Employees, Mod Manager & More!
Launch Is Almost Here!
We're incredibly excited for the launch of the game and can't wait for more of you to jump in. We've also just crossed 3,500 wishlists, and we're so grateful to everyone who has added the game and supported us along the way. Whether you're planning the perfect heist solo or causing chaos with friends, we hope you have a blast.
We're really looking forward to your feedback, so please let us know what you love, what you'd like to see improved, and any bugs you run into. Your suggestions will continue to shape the game after launch.
Hi everyone!
This update adds four brand new run modifiers that change how every heist plays out, and rounds can now have two events happening at once. Employees are also much smarter and will tidy up after you, so stores feel more lived in.
There's also a new mod manager, a new store in the mall, store alarm tampering, police cars that arrive when the heat gets high enough, and a chaos mode for anyone who wants things to get a little ridiculous.
Update Highlights
Smarter Employees
Employee NPCs will now pick up dropped items and place them back on the shelves, and they can restock too. Stores should feel much more alive, and leaving a mess behind will no longer go unnoticed.
Police Cop Cars
When your heat gets high enough, the police will now arrive in cop cars and leave them parked near the store. Keep an eye out for flashing lights, because once they show up, things are about to get a lot more dangerous.
New Run Modifiers
Four new run modifiers have been added, and two events can now happen in the same round, such as Black Friday and Power Outage.
Jackpot - One random carry item spawns worth 5x its original value and is marked with (Jackpot) next to its name. Once someone picks it up, everyone gets a message that the jackpot has been found, but not who has it. Try your best to extract with it, as it can turn the tide.
Locked Down - The guards were tipped off about an upcoming heist and are much more aggressive. You start with max wanted level, and when you're detained it's harder to escape and takes longer.
Inflation - Everything is worth more, but heat rises faster and customers are furious.
Impatient Drivers- Extraction vehicle drivers may get tired of waiting and drive off on their own. They may return, but it will take a little while.
