Development Update #16: Major Fixes, Smarter Bots & More!
Development Update #16: Major Fixes, Smarter Bots & More!
Hi everyone!
Update #16 is a big one! This update focuses on fixing tons of issues throughout the game, improving core gameplay systems, and making the overall experience much smoother. With this build, the game should be in a much more solid state!
One of the biggest improvements in this update is drastically faster loading and round transitions. Previously, transitioning between rounds could take roughly 1-2 minutes, making matches feel unnecessarily slow. We've made major improvements to the loading process, including the transition between the match-ending stats screen and the next round. Getting back into the action should now be significantly faster, with far less time spent waiting around.
We've also made major improvements to the bots, giving them smarter decision-making, better utility usage, improved loot management, and the ability to use shopping carts and the extraction van more effectively. Bots should feel less predictable and provide a better overall gameplay experience.
On top of that, we've added more hiding spots and vending machines to the heist map, introduced the Atmosphere sports store on the second level of the mall, and reworked the tug-of-war system into a skill-check minigame.
This update also includes numerous bug fixes across guards, tutorials, VOIP, and other gameplay systems. Overall, this is a major step toward making the game smoother, more reliable, and more enjoyable to play. It is suggested you re-check out the tutorial.
